Today I'm obsessed with:

The Daybook... It's an ADORABLE style blog. On top of a great fashion sense the writer has a lovely sense of humor.  And the way she talks about her husband is too cute. How in love they are oozes out of every word. In a good way. :]

Penne Rosa... My boyfriend and I went through all of my yummy food bookmarks and decided to give this one a try.  It's lots of fun to cook with him, cause it's proof to me that we work well together. And the food was aaaaaaamazing. And I'll have leftovers for at LEAST the rest of the week. Yay.

"We were no longer 'Good Society'." -Jane Austen's Fight Club
Youtube video. Simply lovely. You really must check it out.

Have a wonderful day. :]

It feels like I've been doing these sketches forever. I think there's quite a few that haven't been scanned and uploaded... maybe one day I'll fix that. :]

Here's todays!

Okay... maybe I wasn't wearing a cape today. But it's a hint of what's to come... dun dun dun! Plus, if I had a cape, I totally would of worn it. Bowties are cool. Capes are also cool.

I've got graduate school on the brain. Found a "Charming Victorian Apartment" for rent... and drooled a little.

Then I found a blog called What Would a Nerd Wear...  it's "an archive of grad student style."  Drooled some more.

This girl is my outfit inspiration for the day. She puts together the cutest things!

And she linked to a website that I checked out, and found this necklace.  Now my keyboard is covered in drool.

(And I'm in an amazing mood because my teeth were fixed for FREE... maybe that's why there's so much drool in this post. :D Isn't it great when the warranty on your tooth hasn't expired before you break a chunk off eating rice? Isn't it weird to have a warranty on your tooth in the first place? I thought so, too... but there's no way I'm complaining!)

I hope your day is as lovely as mine was!

There was a lack of posts this week because it's been one of those weeks that is SO STRESSFUL you want to pull your hair out every other second.

I've finally turned in my application for grad school, and now have the chance to breathe. :]

I did get time to make some cupcakes, though. :]

Aren't those cupcake wrappers so cute? I found them during Halloween. It was love at first sight. I might have bought three packages of them...

Have a great day!

Have you noticed my small obsession with tights and boots?
I tried to find these tights online, but I couldn't. They were from Icing. :)

Have a splendid day!

I see a lot of blogs that feature a daily outfit, which I think is just too stinkin cute. (My favorite example is the talented author of A Beautiful Mess. I wish I was that creative with my hair.) I don't really like to take pictures of myself, so I came up with another solution. Sketchy! It's really a win-win, because it motivates me to dress up cute, AND I'm practicing drawing!

So without further ado...

Aaaand on another but kinda related note, recently I've been feeding off of Chuck from Pushing Daisies for fashion inspiration.

I wish I could have raided that set. It was just too amazing.

Okay, that's not from the show... but it's the same girl, and the outfit is still adorable.
Do you have any fashion inspiring shows?

Have a great day!

So for Christmas my friggin wonderful boyfriend bought me a nook (the Barnes and Noble version of a Kindle). He was super sweet at added pictures of us for the background and screensavers, and got the blue back for it.

I love it. A lot.

It pretty much hasn't left my side since I got it.

But since I don't have a case, I've been carrying it around in the box that it comes in... which is a little unwieldy. So I have been searching around for the perfect cover, and these beauties are what I'm drooling over right now.

I don't really remember ever giving myself a list of resolutions for New Years, simply because I always figured I could make promises to myself that I would most likely break on any day of the year. This year, though, fate would have it that I'm coming back from an awesomely refreshing vacation on the eventful evening. This vacation gave me ample time to think about what I want to do with my current education hiatus (aka my brain is fried, and I took a year between my undergrad and my graduate schooling to recuperate).

So...  a list of resolutions was born. So here you are, in no particular order, my list... with pretty pictures added in for good measure. :)
