Absinthe (finally...)

Thursday, February 3, 2011

This is the projects that's been [this] close to done for sooo long. But I kept getting stuck on her hand. I think I re-drew it 10 times, but I finally settled on that position. I couldn't be happier!

This was supposed to reflect the style of the Absinthe Robette poster by Privat Livemont, which is such a gorgeous print. I obviously didn't want to do the exact same thing, so I added my own style. Of course there's things I would like to change, but honestly, I'm just happy its done and doesn't make me angry to see.

Sorry about the low quality picture :(

1'4" by 1'5" (weird, I know)

Took about 12 hours. The lettering is done in Prismacolor Markers. The coloring is done with watercolor pencils, and graphite. The white stuff is just one of those white paint pens.

Have a beautiful day!
